Avery Faigenbaum, Ed.D.
Youth Fitness
Avery Faigenbaum, Ed.D., is a full professor in the department of health and exercise science at The College of New Jersey. With a specialty in pediatric exercise science, he has co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications, 50 book chapters and 10 books, including ACE's Youth Strength Training and Youth Fitness. Faigenbaum is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the National Academy of Kinesiology, and serves on the editorial boards of several professional journals. He was awarded the Boyd Epley Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2017.
