Help Clients Regain Freedom of Movement

Neck and upper body pain can be debilitating and make simple daily activities a chore. Exercise professionals with the expertise to help clients ease this type of discomfort have the power to profoundly impact their lives—both in function and overall well-being.

In this course led by ACE Senior Director of Product Development Lauren Shroyer, MS, ATC, you will learn about the upper body as an integrated unit to better serve your clients with orthopedic conditions. You’ll be equipped with training techniques to create programs for your clients from assessment through exercise progression. By using “no fail” cueing and coaching methods, you will be able to effectively guide your clients in person and during online training sessions.

Upon completion, you will be able to:

  • Understand considerations of upper extremity and neck pain or injury
  • Recognize the need for mobility and stability exercises
  • Apply effective mobility and stability exercises for improved function
  • Cue exercises using techniques that are effective for in-person and online training sessions

Reviews

This felt very academic in the sense that someone was trying to fill in a bunch of time with info, without it really correlating to the subject. Like if you had a 10 page paper to write and just had to come up with stuff to fill in half of it. There was some decent info at the beginning on muscles, but then it just rambled on about random training stuff until the last 20 mins where it came back to the subject at hand. Was not very congruent or specific overall. I forgot what the subject was even about for most of the middle part. Overall, not very helpful.

The instructor was definitely my favorite so far, just absolutely lovely. The course was well laid out and easy to understand, digest, and recall.
