Impact the Lives of Those Impacted by CVD
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the number one cause of death in the United States according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but much can be done to mitigate the effects of this disease. One of the most important actions clients with CVD can take is adopting a more active lifestyle. As a trainer, it is critical to understand your limitations and develop customized strategies that fit your clients’ needs. This video training will provide you with a thorough understanding of the impact of CVD on the human body and review the latest tools you can use to safely train your clients with CVD, including heart variability and VO2 testing for both aerobic and anaerobic exercise programs.
Led by Health and Performance Coach and ACE Master Trainer Garrett Stangel, M.A., Exercise Strategies for Clients with Cardiovascular Disease offers evidence-based information on how to confidently and safely work with a client with CVD after their release and clearance from a physician. You will gain information you can immediately implement into your practice, which will help you make a positive impact on both your clients’ recovery and the future course of their lives.
You will learn:
- The scope of practice for working with clients who have been diagnosed with CVD
- To understand the development of CVD and its effect on the body
- To assess clients with active CVD and develop a safe and effective exercise program design
- To program appropriate aerobic and anaerobic exercise progressions for each stage of CVD
Reviews
Pleasantly informative.
There were several questions not covered in the video. Most of the material covered in the course wasn't on the quiz. Why make a quiz that doesn't cover the material and the same vice versa. If we are required to search through all the "references" to find the answer to the quiz or enhance our knowledge then this should be work more CECs.
Packed with relevant information. The presenter held my attention from "Hello" to the very close.
