Exercise can be extremely beneficial for the recovery of cancer patients, but there are critically important factors to consider. In this ACE LiveClass led by Andrea Leonard, a 33 year cancer survivor and the founder and president of the Cancer Exercise Training Institute, we will cover a broad range of considerations, and take a step-by-step approach through the assessment process and workout programming, including absolute contraindications to exercise.

You will learn:

• How cancer surgery and treatment impacts physical mobility, posture, activities of daily living and survivorship

• How to understand the signs and symptoms of upper and lower extremity lymphedema and how to prevent and manage them

• How to develop a comprehensive therapeutic exercise program to help correct muscle imbalance and range of motion limitations while addressing other acute and chronic treatment side-effects

Reviews

This course was very informative.

Video and supplemental material were great, quiz questions were not constructed very well.

Well done for a video class. Quiz questions could be confusing. Who writes these?
