Using the ACE IFT® Model to Develop Cardiorespiratory Training Periodization Plans

The ACE Integrated Fitness Training® (ACE IFT®) Model is a program design blueprint that has evolved with the needs of today’s exercise professionals and their clients. In order to help your clients reach their cardiorespiratory training goals with safe and effective programming over the long term, it’s vital that you understand how to use the ACE IFT® Model to develop periodization plans.

In this video training, you will dive deeper into the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE IFT® Model and uncover the details you need to plan out long-term exercise programs. By gaining an understanding of how to move through the phases of the ACE IFT® Model within cardiorespiratory training, you will be able to effectively educate clients and gain their trust, keeping them safe as they move toward their goals.

Led by Justin Robinson, Registered Sports Dietitian and Strength and Conditioning Coach who has worked with professional athletes, including runners, triathletes, MLB players and U.S. Military Special Operations soldiers, you will improve your services by being able to provide cardiorespiratory training for clients of all levels while keeping the ACE IFT® Model in mind.

Upon completion, you will be able to:

• Understand the phases of the Cardiorespiratory Training component of the ACE IFT® Model

• Progress a client from one phase to the next, moving from base training, fitness training and performance training safely

• Understand long term application of the Cardiorespiratory Training component phases and apply them to clients who have goals in this area

• Apply three separate training plans (included in this course) using the ACE IFT® Model’s Cardiorespiratory Training component

Reviews

Really liked the breakdown and examples from each step of the IFT model

One of my favorite courses. Nice to have validation on some of the programming aspects that I incorporate into training such as the load-load-unload concept, 80:20 rule, etc. Great content and presentation of materials.

Lots of really great information, however, too technical at times
