Explore what strength truly means in this comprehensive webinar designed for health and fitness professionals eager to expand their knowledge of strength training. This session dives into the physiology of strength and the nuances of optimizing benefits for a diverse range of clients and classes.

Discover how to leverage kettlebells—a versatile and dynamic training tool—to unlock new levels of fitness for clients of all ages and abilities. Through hands-on learning, you’ll gain insights into the unique advantages of kettlebell exercises, including the benefits of unilateral loading, which adds an extra challenge to training while improving balance, stability, and core engagement.

Strength training is evolving, and so are the needs of your clients. With increasing popularity among women, older populations, and those recovering from injuries, there’s a growing demand for targeted programming that moves beyond selectorized equipment to functional and impactful exercises. This webinar, developed by Lauren Shroyer, MS, ATC, Araceli De Leon, MS and Pete McCall, MS—experts in exercise science and fitness education—equips you to meet the needs of underutilized markets, empowering clients to harness the transformative power of strength training. Research highlights muscle as the “organ of longevity,” with benefits such as improved hormone balance (e.g., maintaining estrogen levels during menopause and testosterone levels in aging men), enhanced injury recovery, and better overall health for older adults.

Upon completion, you will be able to:

  • Define and outline the benefits of strength training for your clients and the populations you serve.
  • Identify and dispel common misconceptions about strength training, ensuring safe and effective programming.
  • Master the most effective kettlebell exercises, along with progressions and modifications to tailor them for maximum benefit.
  • Design a personalized strength-training program using the ACE IFT Model™ and kettlebells as the primary training tool.
