You're on the path to becoming a personal trainer, developing exercise programs to help people achieve their fitness goals. In order to gain the relevant skills to design and apply unique exercise programs based on your clients' goals, abilities and needs, you must first successfully complete a personal trainer exam. ACE offers the following two exam options for you to choose from based on your goals and needs:
ACE Personal Training Certificate Exam
(Non-proctored)
Included with all Study Programs, this exam assesses if you meet the level of competence necessary to earn an ACE Personal Training Certificate.
For most, this is the ideal starting point. It's an easier, stress-free path to starting your career. As you progress in your role as a personal trainer, you can later choose to take the NCCA-accredited exam (see below) to further establish yourself as a Health & Fitness Professional. While most employers accept the ACE Personal Trainer Certificate, an NCCA-accredited ACE Certification (see below) may be required by your current or future employer.

(NCCA-accredited)
Available for JUST $99.00 as an optional add-on with all Study Programs, this exam assesses if you meet the level of competence necessary to earn an NCCA-accredited ACE Personal Trainer Certification–the highest level of excellence.

An accredited certification may help open doors for advanced opportunities, including those in healthcare, disease prevention and more. While the non-proctored exam (see above) is included with all study programs, you can choose to begin here as well. An NCCA-accredited certification may be required by your current or future employer, so make sure to check with them before you choose your exam.
