Tiffany is a Registered Dietitian with UC San Diego Health’s Center for Integrative Health (CIH) with a primary appointment under the Nutrition and Research branch (CINR). At this position, she splits her time between outpatient clinical care allied with Family Medicine providers and co-leading the development of study designs, interventions and monitoring strategies for nutrition research. Currently she is the RD on three different research initiatives focused on dietary interventions for prevention and treatment in battling endometriosis, glaucoma and cardiovascular disease. Her passion for teaching functional nutrition and past experiences have motivated Tiffany to incorporate a balance of allopathic medicine with integrative health approaches to support her patients. Prior to working with CIH, Tiffany worked as the Senior Foodservice Manager and Acute Care Licensing Lead for the UCSD Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research. Additionally, her experiences as a dietetic intern with UC San Diego Health and completion of a Masters of Science degree in Nutrition, from Bastyr University in Washington, have been invaluable training opportunities that she uses daily in her work as an RD. Outside of work Tiffany serves on the board of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, San Diego chapter, where she is active in planning nutrition events and educational outreach to members, students and the local community. As her practice as a Dietitian continues to expand, her professional mission is to continue to develop a network of friends, coworkers, patients, clients and readers that share her passion for whole foods, dietetics, and the restoration of health for all.
