Mark S. Nagel, EdD, is a professor in the Sport and Entertainment Management Department at the University of South Carolina (USC) and the Associate Director of the College Sport Research Institute. Dr. Nagel has co-authored textbooks, including Introduction to Sport Management: Theory and Practice, Financial Management in the Sport Industry, Sport Facility Management: Organizing Events and Mitigating Risks, Developing Successful Sponsorship Plans, and Developing Successful Marketing Plans. Dr. Nagel has authored or co-authored numerous articles in refereed journals, such as the Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing Quarterly, Entertainment and Sport Law Journal, International Journal of Sport Finance, and Sport Management Review. Dr. Nagel has written numerous academic book chapters, given dozens of research and practitioner presentations, and served as a marketing and litigation consultant for a variety of sport industry organizations.
