I have conducted training's for nearly ten years in the fields of education, occupational safety and health/wellness. I am a current employee of the Environmental, Health and Safety Office, for City Water, Light and Power, in Springfield, IL. I have obtained four years of progressive health and safety experience as well as earned my Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Masters in Education. There is a direct connection between safety and wellness, there is also a high correlation of accidents in the workplace i.e. slips, trips and falls that are connected to sprain/strain injuries. Safety does not have to be a reactionary process anymore. It is important for companies to invest in preventative measures utilizing Health and Wellness Coaches to educate workers on how to better themselves physically, mentally and even emotionally. I have the knowledge and experience to create, implement and maintain corporate wellness programs as well as coach employees in nutrition, behavior and fitness, I believe the only way companies can start seeing reduced accidents is if they start investing in their employees' health and wellness.
