My Personal Training Philosophy is all about getting folks started on the right foot. I do this by investing time with them, up front, in proper assessments, health and exercise history, and goal-setting. With that information in hand, I am able to design a specific and effective fitness program suited to their individual starting point, goals, time availability,physical challenges/limitations, and motivation levels. With an individual program in hand, I then teach them in the most effective and efficient way possible, how to work the program for themselves in order to reach their goals in the desired (realistic) time frame without overdoing it. I then meet with most clients on an on-going basis (every 4-8 weeks), after the initial training program, to make sure they are still on track. That also allows us to upgrade or adjust the program as goals are met, or as plateaus are reached. I think that most folks really don't need (or can realistically afford) a Personal Trainer to hold their hands three or four times a week for the rest of their life...they just need the proper tools, and intelligent instruction on their use, for a reasonable period of time, and the self-confidence to make it happen. My clients tell me that I make it fun for them, as well as challenging enough to keep them interested and motivated.
