My experience with formal exercise began in dance class at the age of 6. When most girls started school sports or cheerleading, I kept dancing! Dance training gives you a keen sense of your body-what it can do, how it is feeling, how your mind has a great influence over it. Regular stretching and good posture are a constant requirement. I started cardio and weight training in college as a dance major in order to build endurance and strengthen my knees (for higher jumps!) After that, I was hooked. No matter what part of my life I was going through, I always wanted exercise to play some part in it. Neither my mind or body felt good without it. Even when it is a struggle to work out, I know it will be worth it, and I feel the effects if I miss a few days. I became a personal trainer because it is my goal to get others "hooked" on exercise. I want everyone to learn how good they can feel when they exercise on a regular basis-correctly and effectively. I want them to feel how empowering it is to be physically strong and sure of their bodies. Exercise can benefit anyone at any age or stage of their life. Underneath all of the hype and gadgets associated with fitness today, the uncomplicated basics of good and simple exercise are there. I want to be the one to help you find them, enjoy them, and use them to be the best that you can be.
