Maxie Blasini

Maxie Blasini is an ACE Certified Health Coach and Functional Training Specialist with over five years of experience in health, wellness and science. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she holds a Bachelor’s of science in biology with a minor in chemistry and a Master’s in physiology and biophysics with a concentration in integrative medicine from Georgetown University. Currently, she is a doctoral student of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. During her time in academia and research, she worked with Latina breast cancer survivors and their caretakers, as well as with chronic pain patients. She also conducted extensive research on the placebo and nocebo effects, to which she has contributed over a dozen academic publications, many of them first-authored. To date, Maxie has over a hundred citations and mentions in journals and editorials related to her academic work. Striving for health justice, empowering individuals and building community are Maxie’s priorities within her work. In 2018, she received training as a restorative practices and circle facilitator, and later that year attended a global health course in Ometepe, Nicaragua. Maxie became a meditation and mindfulness teacher in 2019, and that same year created Vibrancy Health and Wellness. Her mission is focused on helping others overcome their barriers to health and achieve their goals while developing a better understanding of, and relationship with, their bodies and minds.
